Inspired by a series of intimate dinners that took place in major cities across the country, nFormation was founded with a simple desire, and question: how can we as WOC claim our full voice and power? Over and over, we heard WOC leaders share stories of feeling isolated, disempowered and not just burnt out, but traumatized by toxic work cultures.
Are you tired of having to prove yourself over and over again; unsure whether to stay or go in your current position; or struggling to define a meaningful legacy? Then, nFormation is for you. Apply for an interview today, to see if the community is a good fit for your journey to wellness, wholeness, and greatness.
We believe that titles aren’t everything. However in general, we would like to build a member community of talented women of color that are professionals, representing diverse industries. Within traditional companies, they are typically Director level and above. Outside this realm, they may be entrepreneurs, founders, creators, retired or in public service. More than the tile, we are looking for savvy WOC who align with our values of being:
Visionary
Being able to envision the future and design the path to get there.
Bold
Open to sharing ideas and asking ‘why’.
Generous
Cares about lifting others as she climbs.
Passionate
Driven by a larger purpose and passionate to make a difference.
Authentic
Willing to be vulnerable, show herself and who she is.
Where community moderators ensure confidentiality and hold space for you to be vulnerable, vent, and to feel heard and seen.
Where co-founders, Deepa and Rha share their own experiences, and in conversation with top entrepreneurs and executives.
Where high achieving women of color can exchange resources in re-building the table and claiming their collective voice.
Where curated articles, books and recordings support your scholarship and expand your reach.
Where trailblazers, researchers, authors and entrepreneurs address the community and shine a light on what the future holds.
Once you sign up to the waitlist, you will be sent an application form to complete, so that we can get to know you better.
Upon review and if we find you to be a fit with our criteria, you will receive an invitation to complete a screening call with a member of our team.
Should there be mutual alignment, you will be approved as a Member and sent a welcome pack to help get you onboarded!
Learn more about our PowHER Redefined Research, conducted in partnership with The Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative.
The research, which included a survey of 1,500 professional women, 1,181 who were Black, Asian, Latina, Indigenous, Middle Eastern or multi-racial, along with 545 white women, and a series of moderated salon discussions, has been featured in Fortune, CNN Business, Fast Company and Harvard Kennedy School publications.
The first of its kind, the research was conducted by WOC, for WOC, and received support upon its release from Melinda French (formerly Gates), Lean In, and Fortune's Race Ahead.
The desire behind the research was to produce a credible, and unified look into what WOC have to offer to the fast-changing workplace, what they need to thrive, and how allies and companies can most effectively support and safeguard their well being and ability to contribute.
The corresponding virtual Symposium was sponsored by Salesforce, MetLife and Delta and featured luminaries like Ella Bell, Marc Benioff, and Minda Harts. Sign up on the event page to receive access to the key panels, and fireside chat between Billie Jean King, and nFormation co-founders, Rha and Deepa.
